  Your character is the prettiest girl in town, and all the men fight over one another for her.  Short story Prompt #3 Meet Alice. She is sixteen years old and lives in Beverly Hills, California.   Short Story Prompt 2: A fast-food chain’s secret recipe is suddenly published online and goes viral; how do they find the thief?      It is 6:30 P.M. I wipe my eyes, which are reluctant to stop running and watering. I knew I was tired. My pain had me awake more than half of the night. I had no idea how much work had wiped me out. Every bone in my body hurt like it was being crushed by an 18-wheeler. It was Mid-October, so my famed Halloween costume store had been buzzing with activity.   Short Story Prompt 1: the Internet suddenly shuts down, and no one knows why or how to get it back running again. There was something about this day that seemed a bit unusual. As I walked to work, I noticed that the streetlights were flickering for what seems like a minute or two. The traffic lights were putting on a show of their own, fluctuating between red and green every couple of minutes.   It was a rather stormy day, but this kind of weather was more than familiar to us as residents of Seattle. The pitter patter of the rain was about as normal as a heartbeat to us. Walking to work and becoming soaked by the rain was quite routine at this point. Having lived in Seattle for nearly a decade, I actually became worried when it wasn’t stormy outside.
